2026 Grand Marshal, Landon Terro, a 22-year-old Louisiana native, grew up in Indian Bayou and Youngsville before calling Baton Rouge home. The son of Renee and Shawn Terro and brother of Caroline Terro, he graduated from Lafayette High School in 2022 as a three-sport letterman, earning multiple All-District honors and the Principal's Award for academic excellence. Terro graduated cum laude from Louisiana State University with a bachelor's degree in Sport Administration and minors in Mass Communication and Business Administration.

Best known as LSU's 46th Mike the Tiger, Terro represented the university at athletic events, community appearances, and campus traditions. His identity revealed in May 2026, with help from friend and videographer Caleb Vedros, reached millions worldwide and garnered attention from ESPN, ABC News, Front Office Sports, WBRZ, and numerous other outlets.

This past spring, Terro also completed a historic 11-year speech and debate career that began at Paul Breaux Middle, continued through Lafayette High, and culminated with four years competing for LSU. Terro holds numerous state, regional, and national championships. He now gives back to the activity by assisting individual competitors, mentoring teams, and supporting tournaments at every level.

Beyond LSU, Terro serves as a Senior Counselor for The American Legion’s Louisiana Boys State, where he oversees the Legislature and Parish Government academics while managing the Boys Nation selection and preparation process.

Now a student at LSU Law, Terro is pursuing a joint Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration, with plans to practice sports law. He enjoys growing in his faith, spending time with his girlfriend, Lauren Dooley of Delcambre, golfing, working out, reading, and learning to cook.
